Hello guy's, I have a question regarding my car, I own a 1993 240sx coupe base model, my engine gave out a while back, I belive I posted here about it. I finally found an engine but it's a 96 Ka24de. My question is, will this fit with no problem? ECU need's to be changed? I'm getting this engine from a salvaged 96 240sx that also happens to have a magna flow exhaust, is the exhaust going to bolt on correctly? If not, can I just use my 93" exhaust into the 96" engine? I also have my old AEM intake and NGK spark plug wires from my old 93 Ka24de, am I able to use these?
Thanks guy's ;)

if the engines is from OBD1 u can us it. should swap right in. How ever if it an OBD2 u need to swap the intake-manifold. the exhaust will not fit. unless u really want to exhaust shop can help.

I dont understand how this OBD1 and OBD2 can effect the swap, can you please explain? And which year Ka24de does OBD1 or OB2 come in?

You wont' be able to use s13 KA spark plug wires on s14 KA, they are different.

Swap your 93's intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and distributor onto the 96 motor. Keep your stock exhaust, the 96's won't fit. Use the harness and ECU already in the 93. That's all you need to do.

Do what he said.
oh while you're at it, use S14 upper intake manifold (no secondary butterflies) and keep using the lower s13 intake manifold.
And if I were you, I'd pull the EGR pipe and throw it far way, and then block the EGR valve.

Does all this have to be done to start up the motor? becouse a shop is doing the swap, Im going to have to inform them of this. I also belive that the engine is from a 95" 240SX, does this make a difference?
