On an sr20det, if there's a crack on the flange in between runner number 3 & 4, will it leak from it? It doesn't look like it at first glance, but I just want to be sure.

It depends if the crack goes all the way through the inside. If it does, obviously it will leak exhaust gas.

Even though it isn't pressed up against either of the ports?

Sorry, to clarify; it's on the intake side.

What the fuck? If it's cracked, OF COURSE it's gonna leak?
Hey if I drill a hole in my oil pan will oil come out?
Seriously dude if you have to ask these kind of questions, you should entrust the maintenance of your car to a trained professional.

The point of my question is that it's up and down between the 3rd and 4th runner on the flange. Since there will be a gasket sealing the individual runners, I deemed it a valid question. Thanks for the feedback, regardless.

So the crack is on the flange, not the runner???
Post pix since your description isn't seeming to help much.
If the crack prevents the flange from sealing properly it can still leak.

No, not the runner lol. I would understand that it would, of course, leak from the runner. It's literally on the flange between the runners where it mates to the head. But I'll get a pic when I get off work. My descriptions are god awful, I know. Haha.

Consecutive photos so that you can see precisely where the crack is.
