ok so i'm watching Best Motoring the other day and i see a skyline on there with an all motor RB20. it was stroked to 2.4 using an RB26 crank and rods w/ bigger pistons also. had ITB's cams and some other stuff too. even though it wasn't tuned they seemed to like this engine alot.

my question for you guys is how much power would something like this make? i just think it would be really cool to do this in a 240sx. all motor I-6 sounds sweet to me. the only problem is obtaining info and parts for a setup like this in the states. so if anybody knows where i can find info on a setup like this let me know

also how hard is it to do an RB20 swap in a 240 anyway? i have done a few SR swaps and honda swaps so i would be doing all the work myself ofcourse. i have an SR in my car right now, but i think the idea of an NA I-6 sounds great.

P.S. i will probably never do this, just wondering if anybody else ever thought of this.

mmm it might be hard to find an NA RB20DE since most clips ppl ship to US are turbo ones. The swap is fairly easy. You require custom mounts other wise ur hood wont close right and wiring modification.

yeah i figured that, probably make more sense to stick with the SR i already have in there for the money i would spend on that kind of setup.

if you rebuild the engine with new internals, you can get whatever you want out of it. 500 hp wouldn't be impossible. keeping the car streetable would be the hard part. a rb25 would probably be a lot easier to start with, more displacement, forged stuff readily avaliable, stroker kits avaliable, more common engine. a built RB25DE might put out 300 streetable hp.

i thought of going that route myself after i saw a rb25de motor set somewhere for like $750.

You're high if you think there will be a 500rwhp naturally aspirated RB20DE ever built.

if someones gonna take the trouble of doing a swap like rb, I would thyink they wanna get as much power as possible meaning keeping turbo,

he was talking about doing the swap with the specific goal of keeping it n/a.......not necessarily to make the most power.
