Hey guys. Just joined the forum after I realized every google search led to this site. Figured you might be of more help with my situation.

Just traded my 1uz swapped s13 hatch for this RHD S13 hatch with a redtop SR in it. When I got it the waste gate had no reference line hooked to it. (No vacuum/boost signal hooked at all) Not sure but Think the catch can is hooked up right now. (Valve cover where the T is supposed to be is now an "L" fitting going to the catch can then to the turbo inlet behind the MAF, while the crank case line the other side of the "T" fitting used to go to is just capped off)

My problem is that I'm pretty sure the oil seal in the turbo is shot. I burn oil and smoke at idle pretty heavy and under boost.

If that is the case I might already have the answer to my main question. I have literally almost zero power. Especially on the low end. Pulling out in first feels like pulling out in 3rd gear in a honda. It just falls on its face. Would the turbo oil seal being bad contribute to this?

The car has no boost gauge, and honestly I feel like the swap was half assed a lot. The waste gate actuator moves now, it seems to blow off a little so I assume its building boost. You can hear the turbo spool as you build RPM's but it doesn't seem to pull any harder.

Thanks in advance for any help...

Hook up a boost gauge and check. Also I would double check your timing if it feels THAT sluggish.

his car is sluggish cause his crank case breather is capped off.

What I want to know is why did you swap this. This car sounds to have a lot wrong with it and you had a running v8 swap, sounds like you swapped a god car for a headache.

The body was in bad shape as was the v8 swap. I've found a freshly rebuilt KA with stock bottom end, a built head with "hot" cams, and a ca18 5speed that a buddy has. I'm going to swap drivetrains and he's throwing $800 boot with it. Now my question is do I have to swap the wiring harnesses? His harness is a KA LHD harness while mine is an SR RHD harness. Is there a way to modify my RHD harness to work with the ka or no? Will I just have to extend the ka harness?
