S14 front carpet retainer

Where is this black plastic clip supposed to go on S14s? Nissan part number 74985-35F00 - Front Carpet Bracket. The parts catalogue doesn't show where it hooks up to the carpet and neither does the FSM.

Edit: Member Bernie(NoVA) helped me figure it out.

Early production 95 cars used a metal clip and a plastic retainer to hold the floormat. Late production cars upgraded to a plastic retainer.

I'm not used to working on S14s so little things like this throw me off. You can see both retainers next to each other here.
