Hey everyone! just hoping this knowledgable zilvia community could help shed some light on a recent issue i'm having with my freshly swapped RB26 240sx s13.

Background:
Totally stock RB26dett (R32)
1991 s13 hatch LE Non-abs
Wiringspecialties full harness (Friggin amazing btw!)
Apexi PFC w/Boost control Kit (Tuned by Doug atUpGarage on previous car (R32GTR))

Everyone loves Videos right?:

if you dont feel like reading just watch the video haha.

The issue:
when trying to start the motor it will not idle and doesn't really struggle to turn off right after starting. The RPM's seem to jump up to ~3k when the key is initially turned. However, after reaching that they just fall right down and the engine stalls. There doesn't seem to be any resistance or "Fighting" happening when the RPMS drop, it just dies. i believe there arent any vacuum leaks which are causing this (At least significant enough anyway). but yea if you have any ideas pleas let me know!

thanks! :wiggle:

Hook up your IC piping?

I don't think IC piping needs to be connected as long as i stay close to idle? Since it'll be at atmosphere pressure Right?

do you know how cars work? your ecu is getting false signals since the MAF signal doesnt correspond to what the throttle body sucks. if you wanna start the car real quick, throw your maf on the throttle body with a hose. (if the cable is long enough)

Yes I do have knowledge of how cars work. I also tried your suggestion and it didn't present any changes to the issue. Think about it this way, you can still start your car with the maf unplugged, But It'll just idle like crap right? Mine doesn't even idle.

I've also tried the basics like iac valve inspection/adjustments, adding throttle, vacuum line inspections. I just want it to idle :(

New video so you can see rpms:

Get a nissan consult like I did you can check every sensor on that motor and the voltages and what it's doing when it cuts off.

I run a PowerFC so i use the PFC Hand controller instead of using Nissan Consult (cant run it anyway). When it turns on and stays long enough to see, it looks like nothing goes crazy or shuts off i believe?

i will be calling a couple tuners in my area tomorrow to see what they think.

sounds like a maf problem. does it idle with both mafs unplugged?

If you're running a maf setup with a pfc, you have to have all of your piping hooked up. It wont hold idle for that reason. 100% guaranteed. on top of that, Idk if it's just my pfc (on an rb25 s2 btw) but mine wont run in limp mode with the maf unplugged. try hooking up IC piping so there are no leaks.
