UAC's BA (Big Angle) Speaker Plates!

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab207/riprodder/DSC01880.jpg (http://www.uniqueautocreations.com/products.html)

Just released is UAC's Big Angle Speaker Plates! These plastic plates replace your existing factory S13 ones giving you the option of putting a 6.5" round speaker in the doors like they should have had in the first place. Other kits out there only offer a flat plate to mount the speaker on, which is fine if you don't mind having your mids and highs aimed at you feet. Our plates let you have your cake and eat it too by aiming your new speakers up as close to the factory angle as possible giving you better sound quality. Plates install using your factory hardware and speakers should be bolted in using the supplied mounting hardware. Accepts 6.5" round speakers that require a 5 1/16" cutout or less, but they should be test fitted with the window rolled all the way down before bolting them in as the glass determines the maximum depth/magnet diameter. Examples of speakers that have been confirmed to fit are: 1 5/8" mounting depth with a 2 7/8" diameter magnet and 1 7/8 mounting depth with a 2 3/4" magnet.

Kit includes: one left plate, one right plate, stainless screws, capture nuts, and one drill bit.
Fits 89-94 240sx, Silvia, 180sx, and all S13 models

This is our first run of plates and there was a slight miscalculation for the mounting hole location so we had to oversize the holes a bit to get them to bolt down properly. Once get another run made the retail price will be $74.99 but for these parts we're selling them at a discount for $64.99 + $8.00 shipping & tax if applicable. We pride ourselves on making OEM quality parts that's why we are being up front about these. Don't miss out on this special deal!

FYI S14's already have 6.5" door speakers.

Yes they fit behind the stock grills. They look completely factory with the door panels installed.

Awesome. I already have 6.5" front speaker plates installed on my car; any way you could create 6.5" speaker plates for the rear for S13 hatches and coupes?

We have actually attempted to make some rear ones for a hatchback but it required cutting and welding of the steel plate they bolt in to. It was rather involved. Currently, we haven't figured out a good way to make a plate for that application yet. I know if we did it would have to accept the factory plastic trim and look stock once installed.

As for the S13 coupe, 6.5's bolt right in in the rear so no adapter is needed.

Personally I could care less if they accept a factory trim. Maybe just a metal grill that snapped in the same position ? Could allow for more room up top. I'm sure if you polled for interest half the community would go crazy. Once you have the 6.5 up front and you try to turn them up all the way your rear speakers want to explode

You could always try adjusting your "fade" setting on the radio to set a little front bias to help with the rear's being worked too hard. Also there is a factory amp on the rear channel that should be bypassed in order for the rears to work right with an aftermarket radio. It's not too hard, just a little rewire and you'll be set. It's been documented several times. Just do a quick search for it and I'm sure you'll find a write-up on it.

Did not know that for the coupe.

I actually have a set of those. They didn't want to just "bolt in". That's when I gave up, but after checking out the install pics in the link here I can see why. You have to cut the metal piece the speaker bolts in to and the plastic cover that goes over the top to make it fit. If I make something I want it to be a bolt on affair. Thanks for checking with us first.
