Engine Changes
Engine changes are legal as long as the following requirements are met to ensure that the change does not increase pollution from the vehicle:
The engine must be the same year or newer than the vehicle.
The engine must be from the same type of vehicle (passenger car, light-duty truck, heavy-duty truck, etc.) based on gross vehicle weight.

All emissions control equipment must remain on the installed engine.

While you've stated that you've searched, if Falkon was able to post information regarding the LS swap in compliance to California laws, you obviously didn't search hard enough. If you knew how to search efficiently, you would have found a build thread that was created by the editor-in-chief from Modfiied Mag (RIP).

These are easily searched topics. It took this guy longer to type that post than it would take to search on google, and he would have got more accurate and useful results. Instead he created another useless thread, which, like you said, will just show up and be useless when someone is trying to search this topic in the future. I'm hoping mods start going through and completely deleting threads like this, just to refine the context.
