I dont want something too expensive, just to replace the OEM tire size. I've been looking at the the Nitto NT-450, Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 (I can get both of these for about the same price), or the Toyo Proxes FZ-4.

Any suggestions? thanks

Don't know too much about the Kumhos and Toyos, but the Nittos SUCK!! They squeal like crazy and have absolutely no grip. There is a popular car store where I live and they always give good deals on rims and tires because they use the Nitto 450s. EVERYONE I talked to who has had these tires hated them. I would go with the Toyos.

Yea I would go with the toyo tires, I love the
proxie fz-4 tires I have them on my stock wheels and I have them on my 18's and they are pretty good tires, for a cheap price and good quality i would get the toyo's

What about Falken Azenises? I know they are cheap and I hear they have about as much grip as you can find on a street tire. Problem is that they have a very short treadwear rating. I've yet to hear of a 240 owner w/ them, but others (FR & FF) have seemed to love them.

Otherwise, I'd go w/ Toyos, then Kumhos, then I'd wrap my wheels in saran wrap, then Nittos.

AAHAHHAHHA! LOL
I haven't had a chance to compare with other tires, but I really like my Kumhos. Good tire for the price, I think.

After all the researching on tires, I came to a conclusion that the Bridgestone Potenza RE730 is the best bang for the buck. It has a treadwear of 300 while giving good performance in Dry and Wet. All for $140 each at the Tire rack.

Yup, I bought them. and I like it. But If you want cheaper tires, I think Kumho seems to be doing pretty good.

I was thinking about the Kumhos... everyone I know that has them loves them (especially as they wear). I picked the Toyos over them just b/c a few of the hardcore road racers I know won't shut up about how underrated they are!

I think the RE730s are a great choice. About that 300 tw rating... I know a guy who got about 20,000 out of his - despite having a perfect alignment, etc. However, they received heavy autox use on a well prepped car. After you get about 1/2 through the tread, those things get really sticky - rocks stick like R compounds!

Um the Toyo Proxes will run me about $550 and the kumhos go $365 installed. so I'm not really sure the toyos are worth the extra $185.. i'm putting em on stock wheels. Does anyone have experience with the Toyos?
