you guys are absolute idiots.

you cannot judge a ferrari f60. its not a car that you say "ide rather have this" -- it is what it IS, artwork.

its not the badge that makes the car. its not the racing heritage that ferrari has under its belt. its not even the performance specs that make the car. buyers who buy an f60 buy it because its exotic-car-status is visible in person and on paper. everything from the look to the touch to the sound is exotic. i think the only sense the f60 doesnt satisfy is taste.. but shit, the car makes my mouth water which is good enough.

idiots. seriously, see one in person and call it ugly.. you'de be ridiculed. some things are just hands down beautiful.

dodge viper.. r34.. okay yeah whatever. amazing how you can compare a MASS PRODUCED hamburger with a fine dinner. assuming price was no option, if you compare an R34 and an enzo side by side, you'll SEE the quality. everything from the paint to the build materials and design.

*sigh* people who own enzos don't JUST have an enzo. they already have 3 houses and 5 track cars in their garage(s). and even if you have 650,000 in cash on hand, you can't just buy an enzo. It was a limited production run, all sold before the first one was off the assembly lines, and everyone who has one is on some sort of A list or knows somebody. The exclusivity of this car is SICK. People own enzos because they can, and no one else could.

Var
06-22-2004, 03:39 PM
my favorite are they guys who compare cars according to quarter mile times.

example

The enzo run's 10's for 600 grand? You can make a civic run 9's for 50 grand. what a waste of money

passed one the other day heading the opposite direction of me in Roswell, Georgia. Car is owned by Ferrari of Atlanta. Enzo had to be going about 90...its a 45mph zone. Kind of sounded like a 747 on take off looking back on it.

Who has the picture of the Enzo's kid standing next to the ferrari? That kid looks funny, kind of looks like some sort bird. Despite his bird look, he will pull more bitchez then all of us put together, unless Ferarri went bankrupt then he would just be lame ass bird boy. Some one find that pic please !

Enzo is made to have benefits of an F1 car in a streetable body, thats why it looks different. For those that say you'd rather have a nice house. There are millions of people that will tell you you are an idiot for putting money into your car, and you could have spent it elsewhere.

Am I the only one that has there girlfriend wonder why I have not bought any new clothes for myself in two years but buy something nice for my 240 every week? I am still wearing my swimming trunks since I was 10years old, no joke! I rocked them to the pool last week and everyone laughed at me since they used to be red but from all the chlorine over the years, they turned PeptoBismal Pink. I still think I can get some more years out of them, since they turn back to red once you get them wet. Thats why Im always the first to "jump in" .

Yeah, I hear you. As for me not only are my shirts stained but so our my underwear. I think its from working on my cars in the summer heat. I will never get white boxers again. What moron came up with that idea. The brown is magnified by the white making simple doodoo stains look as if I craped my pants. I think my gf is forever scared from dealing with it when she cleans them off the floor.

Buying the car is one thing. A $500 oil change and an $8500 brake job are another.

The Enzo is a race car with race car parts. It costs just as much as a race car to maintain. I second the Skyline and a house. There are some things that just aren't worth it.

$500 bucks for an oil change? Why? I mean i know its a ferrari, but c'mon, how much harder can it be on that car? Even if i was rich, i KNOW i would still be cheap as hell and an oil change is not and NEVER will be worth 500 bucks.

TheSnail

I would go for a nice second hand Enzo and trailer home. Or maybe a Feiro with an Enzo kit sitin on carbon fiber 22'' and still have money for a good size house. Since my broke non job havin ass only wishes I made 5$per hour, so being realistic I can only dream of getting windex form my windows and black magic for the dry rot tires. Untill that day comes, I will continue to use the Dawn detergent on my car and cooking oil for the tires.

LOL! Im sure an Enzo owner wouldnt go to pepboys to get a Fram and GTX 10w30. Besides, in ten years of owning those cars, most of them would have less then 5k miles. So to the owners that wipe there ass with 100$ bills , would not think twice about that crazy price.

i dont like the looks of the enzo, i would rather have a F-50/F-40 they look much better imo, and i think i heard that the F50 is faster too :) casue i know they werent designing this car to be super fast like the others but jsut a great car!

Actually you can't even get a enzo for 600 grand anymore. Like someone said, all the ones they made are already privately owned. And if you found an owner that would sell it, they sell for around 2 mill now. And a enzo would spank the hell out of a 9 sec civic. So it can go fast on a strait away, but it wont do shit but fall apart on a hard curve doing 100+ mph.

uhm, so you're sayin its a sub 9 second car? dude, get a grip. it BARELY beats out the ford GT. i heard that a requirement for purchasing an enzo is owning two previous ferrari's (at least).

Enzos are kind of odd. They look like crap sitting still, OK in pics, but they look awesome driving down the road. I saw one on Mulholland Drive a few months back. I actually see a lot of nice cars up there, I saw a brand new Modena, heavily racing modified, just the other day up there, driven by I'm pretty sure was Tyra Banks.

I don't think it's all that hard...it's just that the oil costs like $70-80 per quart.

You also got to consider, that you would get a free blowjob as you sit in the waiting room, waiting for your Ferarri to be done.

I heard the car takes something like 12 quarts of oil, plus a filter and labor @ ferrari= who cares. Brake pads= 6 grand/set. Rotors = 24 grand/set.

my father knows someone who actually owns an Enzo, It is the Yellow one they test drove in Car and Driver, where they went and it had already burned up the pads, rotors, oil and etc..... but anyway, he sold 2 classic ferraris to pay for his enzo. but this right here is the ticker, you must have been on a list to be eligable to purchase one, thats only eligable, next you had to write a letter to ferrari saying why you deserved to own an enzo, only people that they thought were good enough for one got one!!! then they had to pay 1+million for it too.

i saw a ferrari drivin thru downtown today. in oconomowoc you never see nice cars, all you see is civics with intake and exhaust(or no exhaust) and a bunch of old people in cadys...but my friend raced him in his teg gsr and smoked his ass. the guy was shifting like one of the kids at my school. lots of gas and lots of clutch, but not goin anywhere. i swear that guy is gonna lay out some serious cash to get a new clutch every month or so...

Haaaha, thats funny, i knew it was either one or the other place. Shelton on federal over there is like 2 seconds from where i live. The last time me and my friend stopped by there, they had 2 in there. Really, if you havent seen one in person, its hard to fully appreciate the beauty of that car. Even in a showroom full of ferraris, its incredible, just staring at the engine, and the wheels, thebrakes, the carbonfiber, the whole package is incredible.

Shelton is pretty cool, but its tiny compared to the auto toy store, you should check that out next time if you want to see some cool cars. My neighbor was the ceo there, i have a funny story about asking for a ride in his bentley, man that was a nice ride. mmmmm, fur floormats.

Whether you like it or not, it's one of the biggest status symbols out there.....besides all the respect it claims, being a gorgous, badass car, very few people can acutally just go BUY and enzo, even IF they have the money. Fererri refused to sell an Enzo to Bill Gates- yes, you read that right. Theres essentially an initiation to be worthy of an Enzo, you can't just walk into Ferarri with a million bucks in hand and buy one. I believe their rules state that you have to have purchaced at least three other ferarri's before purchasing and enzo (from Ferarri), and above and beyond that, you have to be INVITED to buy an Enzo, by ferarri themselves. So basically, even if any of us ever wound up with enough money, nobody around here will probably ever own an Enzo. I think it's kinda cool that a company was ballsy enough to tell Bill Gates to go [email protected] himself! :) (But none of this is to say you cant pick one up off someone second hand. Once it leaves Ferarri, none of these rules apply, of course).
But I must say, living in the suburbs of Bill Gates' neighborhood does have its perks.....I see tons of ferarris, cheapos and f50's, maserattis, rediculously expensive mercedes, etc, etc. You name it, and theres one driving around Bellevue, WA.

" Dear Ferrari,
I write this letter in the hopes of obtaining an Enzo from your fine company so that I may use the vehicle as my daily driver/poon mobile. Of course it could never replace my 1992 Nissan 240sx in my heart, but I'm sure I could make some room..."

think that kind of letter would work? :naughty:
