OP actually daily drives this on the regular with almost weekly trips to Burbank (over 200 miles round trip from OP's location). Goes to show it's a reliable SOHC engine.

Had I the space (and approval from the 'wife unit') I would have jumped on this thing the first time he had it for sale.

Thanks Jimmie, I appreciate the vouch. The car is solid, like dreamN stated i do drive almost every single weekend to burbank. 200 mile round trip commute from my location, and it runs great for having as much miles as it does.

Oh and btw your speedo issue is related to the code you're throwing which is most likely 14, not 16.

MIL 14 = P0500 which is VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Could be a wired got snagged and is loose or a malfunctioning sensor.

Auto VSS are typically cheap since most get thrown out when folks do M/T swaps. It could also be completely ignored if a swap is in the works for the buyer.
