Hey guys. I hope this is an easy solution but I need to get an answer. So I'm swapping a Ka24de (dohc) into my 89 (originally sohc) Ihave almost everything I need, have it set in the engine bay, and am plugging in the lower harness to the chassis harness and 1 if the plugs is incorrect and will not plug in.http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/m554/slowrider93/20140421_163755_zps161006bd.jpg
The male plug is the 1 from the lower harness and I believe it has wires from the speed sensor, starter, and the alternator so it is a 4 wire plug. I can get the wire colors if need be. There are 2 plugs and neither 1 is small enough to plug this connector into.
I guess my question is do I just cut and splice the wires together or do I reuse my sohc lower harness, or do I splice in the sohc connector. I just need to know which 1 to do. Thanks so much guys. Any answers will be appreciated and any other questions concerning the issue can be answered. I can get more pics or whatever. Thanks again guys!

I am also about to do this swap. I thought the only connector that needed modification was the dash harness connector. I hope this is an easy fix....would like to know as well

The speed sensor has its own harness going to the relay box, nothing else is joined w/ it. I would NOT cut and splice any off the wires w/o knowing for sure where they correspond to.

If you have the 4 pin on the engine/trans wiring side, it likely came from a 93+ chassis, or a convertible. It can be easily swapped over the the 8 pin female connector.
