So I purchased my first 240sx this past summer and did a sr20det swap on it was not sure on the condition of the motor so wanted to get it running without to much money to get a sense of what I had. I purchased a turbo from cxracing it is the t28 knockoff. its now running and I'm enjoying it. However the turbo is over boosting. I have had turbo cars in the past so I know the consequences of this. I want to run this turbo till i can purchase a garrett t28. It only does not creep when i put the baffle/silencer in the exhaust. Im thinking maybe the actuator is just weak cause its a cheap turbo or maybe there is something i can do to keep it from creeping i hate the quiet exhaust with the baffle. Maybe a boost controller or new actuator? any help or suggestions?

How have you got the vacuum/boost lines setup on the actuator? And what did the wastegate hole look like? Had a gt2860rs on my SR20 that crept due to the wastegate hole in the rear housing being too small, had to send it away to get the hole enlarged and a bigger flap to suit. Cheaper turbos such as the Kinugawas from taiwan have the same issue.
