I swear there was a thread on how to do it and cant find it anywhere.
I just got them in today and.....are you serious Circuit Sports? Everyone who has them knows what I'm talking about. Theres no lip. But theres a flare!
Do I have to trim that up to get it to fit?
And if there are any direct bolt on ones that are better, can anyone point me to them?

Its not complicated, heat, pull, clean, reinstall

I found that the outside end has a lip, you secure the lip and then press the rest of the lense down. It seems to easier to do that than to press it in all at once

Yea this lip is what's surprising me. Seriously supposed to just....slap it on and expect that to be a solid seal?

I broke a cs cover trying to sand it down to get it to fit. Use a bunch of silicone and press it on as is. I have yet to get a water leak, even after a crashed and fucked my front. Don't over think it.

3m strip caulk, they gave me enough to do mine from the nissan dealer part number is -08578.Nissan has the stuff you can use to seal them back up. They use it to seal up tail lights. It comes in a blue box that u can even buy at oreillys.Worked out great for me.

never is, plastic will get road hazed/rash quicker than the glass.
Perhaps run some 3m clear bra also?

That's a good idea^^ I preheated my oven to 170 degrees for 10 minutes, put the headlight face down or glass down on some cookie sheet paper and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then pull it out and pry off the glass. Be careful though I broke my glass on one. The plastic covers don't utilize the metal clips on the outside. Get some window sealer or the 3m stuff and press down on the plastic cover then use tape or something to hold it down and let it sit for a day.

And I just took the passenger side lens out the box. Been working on the driver side and got it shaved to fit.
Cracked. Fucking cracked. Damn my luck!

CS isn't a high end company. All their lens will be different. I have to trim down some edges.

It's been a while now so I'm assuming you have them installed. I've searched and found that people say the lighting ends up all over the place without the lines on the oem covers. My questions are 1. Is this true with your experience and 2.(to others who posted) is retrofitting the headlights with projectors done to get a direct light or is it done for looks...or both

I haven't done them yet. Took over a week to get my new set in.
Then I broke a rocker arm last Sunday. Work schedule keeps me from wrenching on this car too much.
I'm going to try and get it done tonight.
