Ok, so i have 2 1/2 years to wait for my SR20. I plan on saving up money to build up my suspention/chassis. I already have exhaust/intake/headers. I was just wondering what you guys would do if you had an N/A KA, and had some spare change around, would it be worth doing an ECU upgrade or should i just spend it on other important things. Again, all comments are welcome. Sorry for the :newbie: question. *flame suit on*

Well, if you have your heart set on an SR20 in the future, why mod your KA? If you know for a fact that you will have your hands on a SR20 than I would just make your car look good or work on the suspension. Don't overkill it though. Depends on what your taste is when you modify the exterior. But that is what I did. I saved up money for an SR20, didn't spend any money on my KA. Then when it got down to crunch time (I had a chance to buy the KA), I declined. I'm about to start college and I think having money for college is more important. You should seriously consider upgrading your suspension or brakes though.

Either go KA turbo or go SR. NA KA isn't worth it so don't waste your time. Enjoy the I/H/E for now and sell all that stuff when the time comes.

I agree with whats said above. No point in modding an engine your not goona keep. But don't neglect it, since you have to wait so long for an SR.

Why exactly do you have to wait 2 1/2 years to get the SR? Nothing against it since it'll give you time to learn on what you got. I'm just curious :wiggle:

Well... thats when my brother, s14slide, gets back to the states from japan! :hyper: He's bringing a few SR's with him for his and my S14. The i/h/e was on his S14, but since he's not using it im going to. Thanx for the replys, and im pretty set on build my suspention, but as for exterior mods... prolly just a front lip, wheels, and MAYBE a small custom spoiler, still have to figure that out. Im not big on how my car looks, as long as its neat. Bodykit will prolly NEVER touch my current S14.

agreed, infact I'm selling all the shit I got for an s13sr to an s14 because that plan didn't fall through because of an unfortunate incident. Also it's like downgrading to throw an s13 motor into an s14. I'm personally going to go the s14 sr , but it's not going to happen anytime soon. Im not touching the Ka at all so I'm on the same boat as you are.

Too bad for you man, im getting me an S14 SR20 w/ S15 turbo off the bat, and for only $600-$700. And like ive said in other threads, my brother isnt sending anyone anything other than me and my friend, sorry guys. But who knows, try to PM him an offer. Im pretty sure if hes willing to ship out at all, hes going to want the money first, it might not be cheap, but it'll prolly be cheaper than anywhere else. Hopefully he'll bring back an RB26DETT for a project we've thought up. Turn it into a street MONSTER! (whatever we decide to put it in)
