Subframe Help.

Hey guys i just replaced my subframe bushings with the stance one piece aluminum and was wondering why they seem to be a bit shorter than the two piece one? It seems like it wont sit flush with the body because its shorter. I know they do this to raise the subframe a bit which is beneficial but how will the pressure be distributed evenly if the surface of the bushing doesnt sit flush with the body?

are you sure they aren't upside down?

They definitely are upside down. If you look at the product description on stance website, you will see that these are supposed to raise the subframe half an inch to correct the suspension geometry. The way you have it is worse than having a stock bushing in there. The half inch space is on the bottom which won't help you change the distance between the subframe and the car.

The bushings are in right side up, both the first and last pictures make it pretty easy to see subframe orientation.

From what I can see, the bushings aren't seated correctly, or at least fully. Take a hammer and see if you can beat them another 1/8-1/4" into the subframe. That should fix your problem

The bushings are inserted the right way, i did do some extra hammering so they sit flush on the bottom, however the edges of he subframe still sit a bit taller than the bushing. I emailed stance and they said this was how they are designed. I guess i will have to find out how well they are for my self. Although i know a few people running these and they seem to be fine...

yeah something isn't right there. it should be completely flush. post a picture of the other side too.

These are some pictures I found of the the stance bushings installed and the tiny gap is present here as well, these are the s14 conversion ones but they are the same size, holes are just drilled offset. 6887468875. I'm not mechanical engineer but I don't see why they would do this, they would of still raised the subframe with out shaving that much off the bushing. But maybe I'm wrong, I'll take pictures of mine when I get a chance
