So my s1 rb25 s13 was running very very rich, had weird idle and what not.. So I noticed that the TPS was unplugged, I plugged it in, disconnected my battery for about a minute or so, hooked it back up and hoped it would fix the weird idle problem! I tried starting it, and it just cranked, would not start...
I am getting fuel but no spark... I pulled the coils and a plug, put the plug in the coil and grounded it and cranked it and I got nothing. The plugs are fine because I just changed them 2 weeks ago and I sandblasted the one I tested. I used a test light on one of the coil connectors and Im not getting any power whatsoever.
My guess is I have a bad relay or something

Anyone had similar issue or could help????

Your tps could be out of adjustment maybe. Disconnect the neg cable on the battery for 10mins and hook back up and attempt to start. If nothing still check your ignitor chip and check all powers and grounds.

Thats what I did at first with the tps then when I tried starting, it just cranked.. I have no power at the connector for the coilpack (well the one i checked)
Im going to check for power at the igniter tomorrow, my cars at my tech school

I unplugged my igniter and the connector that plugs into has no power when the key is in the ON position. When I crank it over it gets pulses of power...
I plugged the connector back in and unplugged the connector leading to the coil pack harness, then I checked for power at the igniter in the ON position and during cranking and no power whatsoever...
Could it be a bad igniter maybe??? And where is the ground for the igniter??
Also ive heard people say it could be bad relays, like the ign relay or the eccs relay and that they are down by the ecu... I only see one and I can hear it clicking so I think thats good, and the ecu lights up when in the ON position so I assume the one I see is the eccs relay.

figured it out! the igniter lost its ground.. grounded it and it fired right up!!
Now i have another problem...
its running very rich and its idling weird... it idles fine until you give it gas, then when you take your foot off the gas, the idle gets very low almost dies...
Its almost like its loping
It sounds like its not getting enough air at idle after coming down from rpms
Anyone know what it could be???
