View Full Version : VH45 - no fuel coming from injectors?

Found why my VH won't start. I took the fuel rails out (still hooked up just out in the open) and let it prime, nothing comes out of the injectors! It must be a wiring issue since they all look clean and passed the resistance test.

I got out my multimeter and hooked the negative up to a chassis grounded bolt, and then tested the wires on the #1 injector. They both have a constant 12v as soon as the car's power is turned on (as opposed to only when firing) and they keep the constant 12v while cranking.

Also, I checked the resistance of the injectors from the pins on the back of the injectors and they were good (within the acceptable 10-14 ohm range).

I'm lost on what this could be!

When i did my vh swap it didnt turn over because the ecu wasnt touching a good ground it would just spin. Is your maf plug in? What pump do u have? Is the fuel pump feed line on the feed line for the injectors? Check for good grounds.

Here's how my ECU sits:

Top is zip tied to the bar but the bottom two holes are self-tapping screws...maybe that's the issue?

I have an Aeromotive Stealth 340lph fuel pump and the MAF is plugged in.

The injectors arent supposed to open up when you prime it. Must be something else

I didnt know that, I figured they did. Well in that case with the fuel rail still out I turned it over and fuel came out so im apparently getting fuel, spark, compression and timing...yet nothing. Maybe its a vacuum leak then... I dont have my brake booster installed yet, that could be it.

Put the ecu on the kick panel where the stock one goes just try it.
