Hi everyone,

Well I've owned my s14 sr20 black top for about 2 months now and absolutely love it despite these damn weird crazy random issues. I was driving last night and all of a sudden a very strong fuel smell entered the cabin. I mean like stronger than ever! Along with that my Idle got really rough- the car dies as it floods but while driving is pretty much fine despite some hesitation I again attribute to flooding. I pulled over and popped the hood and saw that my sard FPR was reading 55psi of fuel pressure at idle and I am running stock 370cc injectors! Under throttle goes up to 60+ holy hell. What should be the first things I do/check? Does this sound like a possible boost leak or more? Please help a noob!
The car builds boost fine although I have noticed I now experience hesitation on high boost and randomly after idling in traffic once I resume driving until it seems like the fuel flooding temporarily subsides. Also notice a small oil leak/smell/bubbling from turbo flange. I'm lost! Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!

Check the vaccum line to your FPR to make sure its not leaking. Adjust your FPR back down to 42 psi. Might be a sign the FPR is going bad, maybe even your fuel pump.

sounds like a injector stuck open. check spark plugs.

But that doesnt explain why his fuel pressure would jump to 55 psi...

You hit the nail right onthe head bro.. first thing I did was check the fpr and the adjustment nut and I could literally turn it with my finger. I then started to remove it all together and the screw which the nut was on was cracked right in half- which would mean huge vacuum leak thus explaining my extreme fuel pressure if I'm correct in thinking?

Now onto the bigger concern- I was able to remove both halves of said screw from the top of my fpr so now I have a 360 degree rotating elbow with half a screw and nut and the other half with nipple I got out without stripping the fpr threads. Where can I purchase another elbow with this screw to go back in it's place? I hope I don't have to buy a whole nother FPR!

It's kind of a universal part. You can try googling Sard FPR individual parts to see what comes up, but I'm sure you'll have better luck at any local hardware store. NAPA, Homedepot, ACE, etc.

Thats weird tho, why would it spike that high if you just lost the vacuum reference? I still say the FPR is fubar'd and I'd go ahead and buy a new one. I wouldn't want to chance it, specially if its something that could potentially blow your engine if it is fucked.
