Texas teen in "affluenza" case gets rehab for driving drunk, killing 4 - CNN.com (http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/05/us/texas-affluenza-teen/)
Some of you might have heard of this already. A 16 yr-old takes out his parents company car (F-350) with friends riding in the bed of the truck. The kid is drunk (3 times legal limit) and drugged up on THC, valium and muscle relaxants. On the side of the road are three people helping out a stranded driver. This teen ends up killing these four people and badly injuring his friends (one of them is paralyzed).
The judge sentences the teen to 10 yrs of rehab instead of jail time. The teen does not show any remorse for his actions at all. Also this is the same judge that sentence a 14-yr old kid to juve for punching a man that eventually died days later (Judge Jen Boyd Black Teen Prison - Business Insider (http://www.businessinsider.com/judge-jen-boyd-black-teen-prison-2013-12)).
All I have to say is what. the. fu*k.
There's a lot of comments flying around about wealth and race, but I'm more upset on the judicial system. What are you thoughts?
