A few weeks ago, I contacted Nissan of North America regarding a manual, and this one lady said she'd get back to me and never did. So, I"m gonna go call her again. It's actually a 240SX tech manual that was printed in 1995 that included both S13 models. Let me post back on this.
Other than that, I didn't find one to satisfy my needs, they were all shared with Stanzas and whatnot. No individual 240 detailed manual.
Be sure to get a Nissan FSM Factory Service Manual for your model and year. I purchase mine from the address given inside the owners handbook. I have seen a few on Ebay lately. New they run about 75.00 Ebay ?

If you don't feel like buying the $$$ expensive Tech manual, then goto amazon.com and order a chilton's. They don't cost that much.

i have the chilton
i like the haynes on better cuz haynes is easier to read
Chiltons do not contain the same model specific info that an FSM does. I have one for my Supra and it sucks!. It has common things but try to find a factory wiring diagram or a troubleshooting section on emmisions. I have a microfiche reader so I bought the complete fiche for Nissan S14's and Toyota Supras both Parts and service. I still use the paper manual in the shop. If $ means that much keep an eye on Ebay and pick one up that way.

I had a chiltons for my 300zx and I have the nissan service manual for my S13. Personnally I like the chiltons better cause it cuts all the tenny tiny detail and it has more diagrams. But the service manual has it plus's to, like the fact that it has all those detail's. I would get the chiltons because I would'nt want to spend $75 on one (of course I got the service manual of the internet for free so that did'nt matter <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> )

Thats the "little stuff" that i'm talking about, it's just not as detailed but if you know car's good enough it gets you buy with time.

the best manual you can get for your car is the nissan full service manual...its like a 100 bucks but well worth it
Call 1-800-247-5321 and ask for a factory service manual (or shop manual). They are just under $110

If I had the money, I'd get both. Nissan's, and Haynes. If not, just get Haynes. The average mechanic can easily do maintenance and complex procedures following Hayne's instructions, and they're only like 14 bucks.

Unfortunately, they don't make them for 240s only. We have to share with Stanza and something else.

i would go with factory manual.. but if you don't want to spend the money they get the chilton/hayne.. but i didnt really like the haynes i got.. not "thick" enough.. very broad in allot of areas.. they ASSume that you know how to do allot of things.. if you are a skilled mechanic.. then you can get away with haynes
