Hopefully someone will have an answer...

I'm pulling a Blacktop SR outta my S13, and putting it into my S14 which was an auto. I'm also converting it to a 5spd at the same time with my S13 parts. However, I'm going to need a speed sensor to be compatible with the S14, and a manual one at that.

The problem is that since It's a canadian car, i apparently need a speed sensor in Kph, instead of Mph. However, tracking this part down is next to impossible. There seem to be a bunch of ones availible from you guys in the States that are Mph. Do you think that this would still be compatible? Would it just mess my speedo up worst case, or would it have an affect on the ECU? If it was just the speedo, could I not just put in an american (mph) cluster and problem solved??

Thanks guys, I'm dyin to finish this swap up!!

You're going to have a tough time figuring out which speed sensor to use. You could always use the one that's in there already and add a box to calibrate the signal. That's what I did. Its also good to have if you got bigger wheels. I got the calibrator from Canadian Automotive Instruments for around $140 shipped. I bet it will be cheaper for you since you're in Canada.
