Hi Zilvia, Ive been a member on here for awhile but never post much just kinda browse the forum but I think its time that I start a build thread for my current car.
Ill start off by giving you guys a little info about myself. Im 21 and from St. Louis Missouri. Always had a love for cars but that love didnt really grow till i was 15. I graduated from Ranken Technical College and got a Associate degree in Automotive Maintenance Technology. I currently have ASE's in Engine Repair and Electrical and an Automotive Tech at Autotire.
I got my first 240 when I was 16, picked it up from a guy in Springfield MO. It was just a 1989 coupe roller that I picked up for $500. At that time I did really know what power plant I wanted to go with. I was still young and only had a part time job not making very much money. I ended up buying a Ka24de from a 95 240sx off a buddy of mine that had a spun bearing. I ended up buying another coupe that was 100% bone stock that had passenger side quarter panel damage. I pulled everything off it and put into my other coupe and sold it to the same buddy I bought the ka from.
After all this I bought another 240 this time it was a 1989 hatch. The car was owned by my girlfriend at the time. I drove around with the Ka24e in it for awhile until I finished up my ka24de. It had a forged bottom end that I planned on boosting. After I finished the ka I pulled out the sohc and put the freshly built dohc in. I drove around with this setup and did a few drift events for about 8 months until I decided to go V8.
