Can a KADE head bolt onto a KAE block? if so, wouldnt the block have low compression compared to the KADE block which is a high compression? Which means more low rmp torque in the KAE Block? Let me know what you guys think
Ive looked everywhere and there are just lots of mixed answers and opinions about this, Thanks!

You put no effort into "looking everywhere", just join ka-t.org
I just got my first ka24 in november last year and had basically 0 knowledge of them, now I own 3 dohcs and 1 sohc.
Yes and no, the ka24E (sohc) block generally you cannot place a dohc head on it and call it a day. The parts you will need to build a hybrid is a truck ka24de head (d22), truck ka24de upper cover, truck ka24de upper chain, truck ka24de upper tensioner truck ka24de cam gears, certain water jackets and oil feed holes have to be modified, and you need to attain the idler gear, You also need a lower chain fabricated to fit the crank gear to the center gear. For the ecu you would need the truck de distributor. Slight modifying of the sohc timing chain cover and your done. Secondly you would have to us the DE crank shaft for the de lower timing chain cover because there is a gear on the snout of the de crank that spins the oil pump that is built into the de lower cover.
It would be WAYYYY cheaper to get a ka24de rather than fabricating one.
