3-M double sided tape works wonders. Just make sure you clean the area with some kind of cleaning or adhesive cleaner to make sure that shiet will stick.

can someone elaborate which type of tape to use? And can it be used to hold spoilers in place?

The way i mounted mine was use the supplied factory hardware to mount the 2 screws into 1 of the mudflap mounting points and attach the extension clip for the 2nd scew (if you do not have the oem mounting hardware just drill 2 new holes and attach w/ scews), then use the two strips of the factory supplied double sided tape (or 3m mounting tape), and then create 1 hole with self tapping screws on the end of each of the valences (the valance has a indention you can tap for the screw) to hold it up because it was sagging.

It can help, but tape alone will not hold a spoiler down.

Can you get this tape from the dealership?

i use 3M glass silicone that i bought from a auto glass place. its black and it works really good. only 5 dollars a bottle. The body shop i got my parts painted from told me to use the silicone because that is what they use.

I got my kouki valences new (with japanese instructions, 2x prepainted valance, 2x self tapping scew, 2 clips and 4 mounting screws, and what looks like 3m tape already attached symetrically in 2 places on to the valences).

If you have used valences just use 3m double sided tape designed for rocker/ bodykit mounting.

I'm bumping up this topic from the dead because I'd rather feed off an existing thread rather than to create a new one.

I'm getting my Kouki valances in today, and will be installing them on my own to save labor costs

I'm probably going to use 3M double sided tape to help me, but if there any other ways to make it stick on that would be great!

Another concern is that overtime, dirt particles, dust, etc. will get trapped in between my rear bumper and my valance. is there a way to prevent this?

Let me know!

If you are careful and not leave gaps
you'll be fine
a screw at the bottom also helps
cheap tape and repeated washings is what'll make them come loose
at which point, just re-tape

do I have to remove this to install the valances? it seems like I have to... since this is creating a gap at the bottom of the car
