when you're out to lunch, and you're driving to get something to eat, do you ever have that feeling like you're having so much fun driving your car around that you just don't want to go back to work/school?
i think of just driving off, and not going back every time i go to lunch, but i don't think i ever would actually skip the rest of the work day. i guess i just really enjoy driving. my job is easy, i make phone calls and type, but still

i know exactly how you feel. i work with hardware all day and we frequent trips to home depot and best buy, all my coworkers hate going, i am like "sure drive my car and get paid!" nothing better than that!

Its not fun when you don't have a stereo in your car, and no turbo engine to listen too, so I would have to say......yeah......it still fun gets you out of work/school for a while.

I thought about that to (i worked at a pizza place) but then I decided not to, it's not worth it, buy a beater to deliver in but then that takes away the point of why you wanted the job.
Sometimes I drive around for no reason except to just drive around. (I'm sure we've all done that.) I don't really like driving out for short trips though, because I don't like the idea of turning the engine on and off all the time. I start the car about 6 - 10 times a day on weekdays. > Talk about frequent short trips... Damnit why don't my girlfriend just hurry up and take the driving test, then get a car!

yeah, that's the only thing about the pizza job, maybe i should find a beater 240sx to do it in, that would be fun.

man, i always love driving. a lot of the time when i feel like going for a drive i don't even have the radio on n just listen to the car. i like it best when i'm by myself though cuz it's more comfortable to drive that way w/out a passenger complaining, they add more weight neway.

I agree,l driving is wonderful. I just wrote a paper for my soc class on that very subject. I usually like summer, when you can start out early when it's cold, and then let the wind blow high noon heat at you, then relax when it's 80ish at 100, depending on where you are. I once drove 13 hours to see my cousins in California. Drove there, woke up the next morning, spent time with them all that day, and then woke up the next morning and drove 13 hours back to Flag.
i'd drive without a stereo, but my car makes some eerie sounds so i give just a little volume,
i live in the Niagara region, and i used to drive through Niagara-on-the-lake and the niagara falls and everywhere else just to see nices things.
particulary houses, i love driving along the niagar river and seeign all the nice houses, did it for 45 minutes until i reached the end od Canada with my girlfriend this past summer, just dreaming about having a wonderful house and a long long drive way and like 12 amazing euro and japanese cars, personally im gonna have a S4 fo all season, and bmw's, a ferrari, a porsche, and lotus, a 240, etc all under an outdoor lighted car port on a $100,000 drive way in front of my house. My girlfriend's mothers family all work for mercedes so she's partial to them, but i says bmw, audi.
just imagine how we're gonna slamm out our houses and rec-rooms.
i already know im getting a room devoted to my 61' flat screen tv 4 BOSE tower speakers in each corner, 2 x 12' subs suspended from the high ceiling, and Macintosh audio components mounted in the wall.
i'll have a top-of-the-line computer in the wall and the key board will come out of the leather couch and i can do anything on my 61' flat screen monitor.
sorryyy, just dreaming.
dido to what bign said - the whole looking at houses... i'll live in a cave for all i care.... just gimmie the cars and a couch with the whole computer setup ;0 i'd be one happyy camper.
sorry.. bing (typo)
dude my girlfriend is a crazy interior designer, shes been offered internships at the to firms in canada and she turned em down to finish school, she gonna design us a house and its gonna be crazy, the room i described is gonna be in the middle of the house with no windows and its gonna be sweet.

I have to tell you guys(and 1 gal) that I feel the love that goes through this forum. Nobody fights or argues and I'd like to tell you guys that working delivering pizzas is a killer!! I currently work for dominos. Before I bought my beautiful 240sx I had a 90 cavalier. Surprisingly enough, it lasted me for quite a while...1year, 8 months. I bought it when I was 18. Of course, i had many little probs. (it's american) but it did me good. I used to use it for work and everything seemed to go good for me. Just like a month ago, the car overheated but I never knew cause the frigging cavalier didnt even had a temp guage..(i had to guess when it was warm enough) and that blew the head gasket. I wanted to break down and cry cause that was my only means of making money. I had to drive in dominos, and i didnt have a car and didnt want to pay like 600 to fix that prob. Im telling u guys, i went through #### with that car. I finally gave it up and got a great deal from my friend's father, he sold me the 240sx for only 850 and the #### thing only had 69k miles. I'm so happy and I'm using it for dominos and its cool but im telling u this, don't do it, it's great money and is a nice little part time job (im a full time college student) but i dont want to mess up the car cause it seems like when u save up like a couple hundred u gotta spend it to fix the brakes or radiator or whatever...so please don't fall into that trap. I'm quiting in like a week, i got this job in a bank which is like 30 mins away from my house so i still get to drive still but not the frequent starting of the car, and frequent stopping and wasting the clutch and all that other stuff. alright man, see ya

I love driving...especially on a deserted road on a beautiful day.
This past weekend, I found a twisting, well-maintained little road through some highland country (well...high for MS) over in a neighboring county. Hardly anybody lives on it and it twists through some hollows and down ridge backs for a good mile or two before it turns into gravel. It was warm that day, so I had my windows down...no radio. Just listening to the engine do its job and the occasional tire squeal as I repeated the sequence of accelerating to 70, braking hard, taking the swithback at 55, and accelerate again several times. At every point on the road, there is either a sharp rise to one side and a drop on the other, a rise on either side, or a drop on either side...no flat scenery. And the trees were all golden with fall colors amplified by a low four-o'clock sun....all accompanied by a thick smell of fatiqued rubber and brake pads. It was great...I think I'll do it again this weekend. And maybe this time, I'll get a friend to videotape it....hey, that's an idea.:)
