Hello i am new to this forum and to 240's i have a 1990 hatch with uk s14 sr20. Sr was already swapped in when i got the car but the quality of the wiring is 0 so i am redoing all the wiring. I want to know about the shielded wire that's on the cas harness and maf i think there is one more that uses the shielded wire. What is the purpose of it and do i need it can someone please explain this to me. I've had the 240 for over a month now still haven't driven it eager to drive it

Searching helps.

Now that thats out of the way, to repeat this again and again.

The shielding is to keep the wire from getting outside signals or pulses that would throw off the reading from the sensor that way the sensor doesnt have a reading it isnt suppost too.

Its not needed just recommended.
