ok so im new to 240s and the sr20det motor i bought my first one a few weeks back. I planned on fixing it up and upgrading parts it was leaking oil slowly i thought it was just from the valve cover or from the ps pump since it was right next to it and the ps is leaking. I cleaned it with some break cleaner and thats when i saw the block was welded a few inches across. One end where a ridge is on the block the weld did not burn in so well underneath . I Know this is a problem and i got screwed but what can i do. can i take this to a shop and have them weld the small hole while its in my car? How screwed am i on this? 65242

Just buy a new oil pump. That there is called the timing cover. It is not your block that is cracked.
