hey guys, im new to zilvia and i could use a little help. i bought a built red top sr20det swapped s14 and i was aware that it needed a brake booster but i have since discovered that it has a few more issue. #1. the lights flicker at the same pace no matter the rpm, they do this 24/7. when the headlights are not on the dash light still flicker. #2 my idle is high and it fluctuates between 1500 and 2000. ive tried to adjust it and it hasnt done any good for the fluctuation. i hooked my laptop up and discovered that when i hold my throttle steady my tps voltage dies off and returns to idle voltage. when im at wot it dies down to 1.5 or so after the car accelerates, if i brake boost it at a steady speed it holds steady. for some reason the higher the rpm, the more my tps dies off. is this a tps sensor issue? #3 im not sure my catch can system is correct. the valve on the passenger side of the valve cover is completely open with nothing attached and im not sure it should be. any help is appreciated, im still new to turbo cars so im sorry to be such a newb.

What is your alternator voltage? Where and how are you adjusting your idle speed at? What is your timing set at?
There should not be any open ports on the valve cover.

at the current idle (1500-2000) it goes from 15.6-16+, my software only reads up to 16v. i adjusted the idle at the throttle body on the left side. i have checked and adjusted my tps to .5 volts and it has somehow raised itself to .62. im not sure on the timing but ill try to find out

Man its a lot to type out what you need to do.. do you have any trusted friends who can help.
First off its going to be a love hate relationship with this car since you bought someone elses project. You need to research how to "PROPERLY" set the idle.
Now since you have the consult port hooked up it would be easier to use the program "conzult" it gives you an idle adj option or something(cant remember exactly) and then adjust via the screw on the bottom of the IACV.
Also its better to adj the tps with the engine on and set to ~.5v.
The easiest way to test it is with KOEO, probe the center lead and open the throttle slowly, it should move steadily up to about 5volts, if it goes over or changes sporadically its bad.
That should get you started.
