So, I had a Ford Focus ZX3 about a year ago that I put an Aerocharger turbo kit on. The company is out of Dallas, Texas, and they make full bolt-on turbo kits for just a few limited cars. Focus, Porches, and GTO's I believe. Now I think they've cut it down to just making kits for off-road vehicles.
Anyways, the kit that I have is very high quality, and the turbo alone sold for about 1,500$ at the time, I don't think it's even made anymore. The turbo is completely self-contained, it has it's own oil supply so no water/oil lines from the block, and it has an internal wastegate with variable vanes so it doesn't require a BOV. It has a manual boost controller switch that the 1st position is 7psi, and the 2nd position is 12psi.
I'm currently installing an RB25 in my S13, and I'm thinking about using this turbo set up. Just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. I'll have to make a flange adapter in order for it to bolt to the manifold, and block the oil lines off on the block, but other than that it'll bolt right in place. The factory intake tube even fits perfectly on the inlet. Any thoughts?
