Here's the article, just easier to read than copying and pasting the link.
Nissan 240SX
The Nissan 240SX is your basic, generic Japanese car. You know how they have "generic" items in the supermarket...a black-and-white package with a bar code that just says "soap"? Well, if you walked into a Japanese car dealership, you might expect to see this car with a bar code on it and the words "Slightly Sporty Japanese Car" on the back.
There's nothing terribly exciting about this car, and not much to dislike either. It's rather plain and unexciting. Women seemed more excited (well, "excited" is too strong a word...how about "interested"?) in the styling. It's a two-door, sporty coupe with a small back seat.
Like the proverbial generic Japanese car, all of the gauges and switches are convenient.Everything works, and the car will probably be reliable--we just found it kind of boring.
One thing did surprise us about the 240SX: the sticker price of the car we tested was $23,500. For that price, the 240SX is a surprisingly basic car. At $17,500 it would be a cute little interesting car, but at $23,500 it seems quite overpriced to us.
Other than a slightly inflated price, we can't think of a good reason not to buy this car. The problem is, we can't think of a really good reason to buy it either.

Umm... how about styling, suspension, torque, rwd, yadda yadda

Well I guess If I didn't know ANYTHING about an m3 i'd say it looked like a mid size sedan and oh yeah the girls think it looks better than the guys but we all know that car is bad ass because were no morons. We also know that the 240 isn't like this either but oh well. If thats how they feel then thank god because that just keeps Morons from driving the same kind of car I have!

Check out what they said about the 300 ZX
"Went so fast that I can't even remember driving it."
"Great car for kids just learning to drive and octogenarians. Right."
"It's hard to start this car without spinning the wheels. All it takes is a little water or sand on the road, and your wheels are spinning before you've even gone anywhere. Nice car, but the engine is overkill."
:
"but the engine is overkill"
HELLO did they not notice the TT tag I guess they didn't pop the hood and notice the Twin Turbos. Saying the engine is overkill is like saying I'm too good looking. Haha <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Do not offend a Yugo in front of a Yugoslavian chick. Pretty soon, you may be a ded 240sx owner (muahhahahaha!) OK, I"m just kidding.
The VB30DETT is a pretty #### sweet engine. It's true, the wheels spin like nuts. NOT a car you'd wanna drive in rain.

I meant the wheels spin like crazy. Haha LOL. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
oh yeah just because we got all that low end torque and no v-tec it's not an eye opener..all i ever hear about these #### car reviews is that..oh this car this and that when you rev it up high enuff it's an excitement in your pants...haah they can suck my left nut...so guys if you ain't got over 300HP or u ain't got vtec then your car sucks..is that how reviews work???they forget handling, RWD...last real RWD sports compact...the 240....so wat if it doesn't have v-tec it still kicks the girly integra..haha.no offense to any of you H/A owner...
That article mentions nothing about performance. It said women seemed more excited/interested in the styling but didn't say why. I doubt this was written by a professional test-driver or writer.
misnomer

Well, if you ask me, aside from him neglecting to mention RWD, the article was pretty right on. Admit it, from the factory the 240sx doesn't have outstanding power. Torque is great and all, but we are about a dead even straitaway match for a Civic Si. Most of those magazines don't take into account what can be done to these cars though <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
Don't flame me, just callin' it like I see it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
LMAO first they say the 240 doesnt have enuf power...... then the 300 has too much power..... LMFAO.... wtf...... make up ur mind seems like these guys want FWD Civics and Teg's to take the crowns

yeah well, i still think that person that wrote that is an idiot, especially since it's just a "generic" car n how they can't find a good reason to buy it n basically that whole article.

About the only thing that I agree with, is them saying it's overpriced at 23,000. #### thats alot of money but that car was probably loaded for the testers.

that guy doesn't know what he's talking about, and you can never have too much power. To a soccer mom or some business suit guy our car might be boring, but to the even semi educated car enthusiast its a great car, light, rwd, potential, originality, and all sorts of stuff. he probably drives a civic ex and thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread

The articles are pure BS.
How about the Ass-Clown award, CA18Guy?
