Sooo hey guise need some help

I drive a 1991 240sx hatch with a ka24de

Yesterday I was leaving for a meet and as I was texting warming it up, the car died
And would not start
It would crank just not start up

I came home from work with a fuel filter for a different problem hoping it would fix this problem too, I started it before I did anything with it and it started
So I swapped the fuel filter and a couple new hoses for the fuel line and it started
Let it idle for about 10 minutes and it died.
Once again will not start
I imagine after a while it will start up and turn off after it warms up again

I recently flushed the coolant, put a new radiator cap, and since the coolant reservoir had a huge hole in it I removed it and rerouted the pipe to a beer bottle and sealed it with electrical tape

Anyone wanna tell me what's wrong ?

Either you need a starter or coolant temp sensor . Did you try to pull codes ?

CTS normally prevents it from starting not shutting it off in my experience.

To the op whenever it shuts off are you overheating? or normal temps and it just bogs out and dies. Or option 3 does it just shut off like you turned the key off

you could try changing the condenser on the distributor , it could be be bad and not working correct after working a while .

this, or the coil could be bad.
