Ok so you need a multimeter and you basically install the new tps tighten the adj bolts just enough so it's not floppy but you can slide the tps around in the oval shaped holes. Then turn the ignition on engine off, with the tps plugged in probe the center wire I believe it should have a voltage reading somewhere under 1v. You need to adjust the tps by sliding it around until the wire reads .45v-.5v with the throttle completely closed. On that same not the new tps should not be over 5v fully open.
After your confident tighten both screws and start the car. Reprobe the same wire and make sure it's still ~.45v. If not readjust with the car running.
If this doesn't work for you just ask.
I'm going off of memory but should be about right.

^that sounds like its the correct way to do it.
The last time I did one was about 3 years ago, the procedure sounds right.

I set mine to .44 and everything to .55 and it runs like crap idles up and down. When I set it by hand or sound it runs like it should. I probed it and it was at .24. Not sure why maybe tps is toast.

When you have the KOEO(key on engine off) probe the middle wire and measure the voltage as you slowly open the tps. If erratic or over 5 volts at wot it's bad.

I'll try that, I just figured it was normal. Thanks for that tip!

Checked it and volts went up ok steady like 1.90 to 1.94 but it peaked at 5.75v at wot what does that mean?

Seems out of spec. Should be no more than 5v iirc. I can test my own when I get As chance

I have it at .17v and it runs good, I set it to .44-.48 idle goes up and down from 700 to 1300rpm.

wELL Do a google search on how to set the tps, it should be ~.5v and if youre having to set it at .17v to get the proper response then i feel its not functioning properly.
The reason i said to google how to set the tps is you need to reset the ecu so it recognizes the closed throttle position

what ground are you using for the multimeter?
I used the ground at the tps plug...
some people use the battery ground, but i'm thinking that would give you all kinds of weird voltage

That what im thinking bad tps, I set the tps with key on engine off to .45-.48 then reset ecu and then start it up again. Even with I set it by hand or listen to the engine sready out were it runs good, , then I reset ecu and restart it back up and it fine at about .17v. Runs good and pulls hard so ill try the tps. When I hook up the power fc to it I set it on the controller to .44v and idles up and down. I never adjusted it by feel and seeing if it will idle better.

You need to use Nissan Consult to check for throttle closed position so the engine can idle properly. Throttle closed position is from 0.18v to 0.45v. Max tps should be 4.75v. Yours' at 5.75v indicate bad tps.

Ill try a new tps. When I had the consult hooked up the tps was set at .46v and on the consult it said .32v I'll try a tps first.

sounds easy enough, thanks a lot ill give it a try and get back to you when I do it, right now im waiting on an hks actuator because my actuator spring is bad so ill give it a go then, thanks
