Call them, Ask them to measure a non abs drive shaft, Measure yours and see if you get the same result. They might sent you the wrong one.
ok they said its 39.5 but its 39.5 but it too short and they said it was correct

mine is the same and has worked fine for 2 years.
So I won't leak tranny fluid? And nothing will get messed up?

its a slip yoke. its not supposed to touch the trans case, or it wouldnt move...or it would move and they would rub and make terrible noises

the seal keeps trans fluid in, not the shaft
Ok so I shouldn't worry about that space

How are your mounts? My non abs DSS in my 93 does not have nearly that much gap in it with new mounts.
My tranny mount is bad but that wouldn't make that big of a deal would it

I think my non abs DSS aluminum shaft has the same gap. It's for sale too ;)

If your tranny mount is bad and your engine mounts are the same age they are most likely just as bad. It might be enough to drop the engine forward a half inch and create that large gap.
Well the motor mount are new but the tranny mount its ripped and not hooked up right so the bar really is just holding the tranny up so I'm going to get on buying that mount tomorrow
Ok so I got the new mount so the motor looks like it need to come back so the bracket can hold the transmission up
I got the mount hooked right got a hold of DSS and they sent me a return label so hopefully they send me the right one

Mine is exactly like yours in the picture and it's been running fine. You're supposed to have that extra space

the transmission has a dust shield on it that takes up the rest of the gap. it has been knock off of your trans. it will be fine. you have the right driveshaft.
