Well its time to go pick up the 280zx-T
I was gonna have a towtruck do it for me but due to some unexpected shit, Im down on cash.
One of my friends suggested buying a "tow bar", hooking it up to my sis's mini van and hauling it that way.
Now from what I read, a lot of RV'ers do it all the time. I also read that there is a possability of damaging driveling components. I dont want to damage anything, but im out of time for storing the car where it is.
Any thought, suggestions, reviews or advice for towing with a tow bar?

How far away from you is the car that you going to get?

about a 5-7 hour drive, depending on weather and traffic. I suppose id be more near 7 with a load.

call your nearest uhaul. see if they have a pickup truck and tow dolly. (unless your minivan already has a hitch, then just rent the dolly) the day wont cost you more than $130 and would be way safer than any towbar

The small box truck is the same price and those you can take one way unlike the pickup where you would need to rent it at home, drive it all the way to the car, then drive it back.
As for doing it with the van its better to not risk an accident or damaging the van as its not quite up to the task like an RV would be. Plus you are going to have to do the work to get it mounted onto the car which you would not have to do with a flat trailer or a dolly.

I got a uhaul truck and tow dolly like 2 months ago and it worked fine and it was only like $100 for a day. Just make sure you drop the driveshaft

Lots of people here in Cali use the tow bar to go tracking, its much more efficient then having a trailer + cheaper.. we call it flat towing. The only problem i see is can your vehicle handle the amount of tow load? I suggest getting a truck to pull the car, a minivan would not have the power or brakes to safely tow the vehicle.
One thing to note is bring a friend to steer at the rear, its PIA to reverse flat tow
