Hello zilvia... For the past three weeks i been having issue with my climate control. It works fine, but the actuator that change from hot-cold air just quit working. Everything else functions good. It does change air from windshiled defrost to floor to front vents with no issues. But it doesn't change from cold air to hot... basically stuck on cold.

To start with the car. Its 1997 180sx type x.. OEM rhd not converted. So the Digital Climate control was factory option. Was fully functioning a month ago, but recently it quit changing from cold to hot air.

I had already changed the main unit, Also the actuator that suppose to change from cold to hot air or the opposite.

I can change it manually after taking the actuator off, i can change it from cold to hot air by pushing or pulling the rod and it works fine.

I got a new actuator from friends car(converted to dcc) and all the unit where it happens to mach my part number and still doesn't work. I also changed that blue relay with the same part number relay and still nothing. All harness and wires looks good, no burn or disconnected wires or anything.

Btw: Is the 392N

Anyone had the same issue before? Thanks

I had a similar issue when I did the conversion... Turned out to be the sub-harness from the DCC to the blend door actuator. Check the connections. In my case, it was the wires going right into the back of the BDA connector.

Thanks for the reply. I will get the factory tape off of the harness today and hopefully something is disconnected.

Just took all the tape off of the wires and every single wire look good. Tested from end to the other end and they all tested good.

Anyone have a clue??

there should be a motorized box that regulates the hot and cold, 100 percent probability that if you're not seeing movement, but you are hearing movement on the motor, the gear stripped. which is most likely. I've gone through 4 fucking door motors ever since doing this swap. I don't understand why they have these shitty plastic gears.

Your speaking about the blend door. I had replaced that already. Pulled it from my friends car who converted it to DCC unit and saw it working before pulling it off. Connect it to my harness and still not working. I don't hear any sound when i change the temperature up or down.

Also the main unit has been replaced and still nothing.

They make pull and push cables that are used for chokes on Carburetors. Worst case rig one up to the rod to open and close it. Sounds like You have tried everything logical. Now Git-er-done Engineering might be handy. Lol

Mainly joking but It would work.

LOL, i'll pass on that idea... If i spend an hour of my time, am sure i'll find the problem, but i get home late and too tired to work on that car. LOL

hahahahah no sweat, there's also this other place, they look good too and might have a larger selection from which to choose from. Sometime I want to swap out the gears on my folding side view mirrors too

Largest Selecttion of stock metric spur gears (http://www.qtcgears.com/rfq/spurgears.htm)

Like i mentioned earlier, i pulled that actuator from my friends car that already works with no problem in my car and it doesn't work.
I just had some time and opened my old actuator, All gears are fine. None are broken or had a bad thread. Pics will be up soon.

I returned that actuator to my friends car and it works with no issue.

no in-cabin filter ... probably some junk blocking the vents and doors. Usually happens
