recently swapped in a s13 sr into my s14, car is still on jackstand and hasnt moved since the swap. At first it idled like a tractor and was running sickeningly rich. checked timing and reset cas and it was all good with the idle. Now after the car warms up it starts misfiring. at first its once every 10 seconds and then soon it sounds like popcorn popping in the exhaust. I tried checking the tps but I could not get it within the normal range at closed throttle it would consistently stay at .2v and even once i carefully got it to .45 and tightened the screws the first throttle blip it went right back to out of spec on closed throttle.I unplugged it while running and it continued running. I'm going to try to swap that with someone local tomorrow but not sure if that would cause misfires or not.
what I've tried so far
new plugs
resetting cas
cleaned the iacv
checked grounds
replaced ects
cleaned maf. waiting on a pigtail to try a sohc maf
any ideas on why my sr suddenly sounds like a subaru once it reaches operating temperature?
