Shaving USDM Bumper Support

I will be installing a S13 silvia front end soon, and I am wondering how hard is it to shave the USDM bumper support for the JDM bumper? Should I just go ahead and buy a JDM bumper support and save the trouble?

i would just go with the jdm bumper support, not worth the hassle. and if it was ever hit it would absorb the impact the way the engineers designed it. the USDM support is also alot heavier
