I've heard it can be done by switching out the ball joint and that they are the same length and specs as s14 arms which is a big plus for us s13 guys. If anyone can confirm if this is true i would highly appreciate it since there is a plethora of j30s at the junkyard

yes, the traction and upper control arm can be switched over and are actually an improvement over s13/s14. The traction arm is boxed and is the same as the nismo traction arm sold, minus the bushing. The upper control arm is solid cast iron so its beefy and a huge upgrade. I forget about the toe arm, its just like the s13/s14 but I forget what bushing it has, as that's the only difference between the s13/s14 is the longer bushing on the s14. The lower control arms are direct fit for s14, the only difference between them and the s13 are a longer bushing/attachment point (and ball joint) which I believe can be shaved down to fit an s13. You can perform a full 5 lug swap with J30 stuff. I've done it. You have to use the whole rear spindle of the j30 because the bearings comes sealed with it. You also have to modify the e-brake cables but that isn't too hard, saw a post of it somewhere. The j30 rear shocks are also direct fit for s14. The climate controls you can grab and can be used for the JDM DCC, at least partially. The front 5 lug hub can be used for both s13 and s14. Its an easier mod for the s13. Press out the j30 bearings and press in s13. There is a snap ring you have to remove, bad thing is the s13 bearing then is short and you may want to make another groove to adjust for the difference. I did that, but some people have simply pressed in the bearing and ran with it. The s14 mod to fit these is more involved but its posted somewhere. You can also run the j30 dif too as its VLSD, depending upon the year the bolt patterns change on the axles, there are things posted on this too. The J30 axles are beefier too, but switching them over is more difficult haven't tried that. The brakes are also an upgrade as well, 2 pot in the front, very cheap mod, I think they bolt up to the stock lines as well on s13/s14. But for all that's holy, sweet jesus please rebuild those calipers, I don't get dudes on here swapping 20 year old calipers and taking them to the track. rockauto.com for all those parts. I never tried it but the j30 subframe may fit an s14, but not sure, I doubt it'd fit an s13, but that's a wild guess, no promises. I also think the front control arms and tension rods may fit an s14, again not 100% sure, but you can literally strip a J30 down and swap most into an s13/s14.
your welcome
