The other day I heard a ticking sound from under the engine, and it sounded like the injectors, so i put a screwdriver up to each injector to listen, and cyilnder 4 was ticking a lot slower than the others.

So I threw an injector in from my old KA, and it still did it. Today I go to start it up, and it wouldnt turn over, after about 15 cranks, it starts up, and cylinder four is completely missing, like its not even plugged in or something.

So I pull my spark plug, its covered in oil, so I buy a new one and no difference.

A few months ago i had my valve cover off and forgot to put the plug well grommet back in, so all four plug wells had a bunch of oil in em. I cleaned it up as best I could, but I'm thinking/hoping thats what the oil was from. The other plugs looked dry.

Anybody have any ideas of what the hell could be causing this? Thanks.

edit- forgot to mention that when I rev it up, it smooths out, like its firing good, but white smoke pours out of the exhaust and it smells like straight gasoline.

so have you pulled the new plug out yet to see if it is also covered with oil.
