I want to buy new rims in about a month and the only decent 4 lug rims that I can afford are the 5Zigen Fn01R-Cs. Before I buy them, there a few things that I want to figure out that I'm confused about though.
First of all, right now I have a 91 S13 Coupe which currently has the stock 15" hubcaps on.
When I first buy the wheels, i'll have stock suspension, but I'm going to buy Eibach Sportlines and KYB AGX's very soon after I buy the rims. (Coilovers are too expensive and out of the question and I'll be sticking with stock brakes, so I'm not worried about coilover or 300zx brake clearence at all with these rims)
It looks from 5Zigens website that they recomend 17x7 in the front and 17x8 in the back. I'm not sure what I want to do here though....
It seems to me that with both the 7 and the 8 inch wide rim with the same +35 offset, that the rims will be sticking out one more than the other. Is this true and how could I correct this?
Also, if I decided to go with 17x8 in the front so that they match the rear rims, will there be any fitment or rubbing issues, and if so, how could I get around it?
Finally, what is the ideal tire width for a 7" and a 8" rim? I've seen everything from 205 to 225 for the 7" and everything from 215 to 245 for the 8" in my searches? which would give the best fit?
I know its a lot of questions and searching just seemed to confuse me more, so if anyone could give me some straight answers for my situation, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
