So i am in the middle of installing an alarm, and i am trying to wire up the remote start part and i am a bit confused.. There is a key side and a car side?
when it refers to key side does that mean the side that is on the left hand side of the steering wheel connected to the key cylinder? and car side is the other harness on the other side that connects to the key cylinder harness?
If so, i should have the remote start wired right
H3 Remote Start Harness
H3/1 Pink (+) Ignition 1 input/output -->BLACK/RED at ignition harness
H3/2 Red/White (87) Flex Relay input (30A Fused) --> WHITE at ignition harness (the one that test as 12volt constant)
H3/3 Orange (+) Accessory output --> not use
H3/4 Violet (+) Starter output car side --> to black/yellow, ignition harness car side
H3/5 Green (+) Starter input key side --> to black/yellow, ignition harness key side
H3/6 Red Ignition 1 input (30A fused) --> to white, ignition harness key side WHITE at ignition harness (the one that test as 12volt constant)
H3/7 Pink/White (30) Flex Relay output --> Cut the non constant 12v WHITE wire at ignition harness, this goes to NON key side
H3/8 Pink/black (87a) Flex relay input --> Cut the non constant 12v WHITE ??wire at ignition harness, this goes to key side -----> there is no white wire on the key side, if i match up the pin with the non key side it's actually a red wire.. refer to pics.
H3/9 Red/black accessory/starter relay input (30A fused) --> WHITE at ignition harness (the one that test as 12volt constant)

No, key side and car side simply refer to when you cut a wire in half. So when you cut the white accessory wire in half, you now have two ends to connect to. One of those ends is called the "key side" because it's the end of the wire that leads eventually back to the key cylinder. The other end of the cut white wire leads back into the "car".
You will ignore the wires/colors that are physically attached to the back of the key cylinder. I can't tell in your pictures, but it looks as though you have the violet wire tapped directly into the black/yellow. This is the starter wire... so you will want to cut this wire in half, same manner as the white wire and attach the Viper violet to car(starter) side and the Viper green wire to the key side.

sweet! and as far as connecting all the wires together what is typically best to use? butt connectors?
also what about
H3/7 Pink/White (30) Flex Relay output --> Cut the non constant 12v WHITE wire at ignition harness, this goes to NON key side
H3/8 Pink/black (87a) Flex relay input --> Cut the non constant 12v WHITE ??wire at ignition harness, this goes to key side -----> there is no white wire on the key side, if i match up the pin with the non key side it's actually a red wire.. refer to pics.
you can see the pink/white wire running to the white wire, is that the correct one? It's white and doesn't test at a constant 12v.

Yes, that is correct. The white accessory wire will test hot when you turn the key on. As far as connecting the Viper wires to the OEM wires, it's standard practice in my profession to solder/tape everything.

Bumping this old thread because I am trying to install the 5706v into my S14 and can't get it to starter kill or Remote start. I only cut the starter wire I didn't cut the white wire like the OP mentioned in his post.

Yes it's a 5speed converted. I have the brake pedal kill switch hooked up. Do you need to run a relay for the remote start?

Got it to work but on Auto. Since this car was a swap from Auto Manual I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I had the starter wires wrong, I was trying to use the Blk/white stripe and that didn't work. Used the thicker Blk/yellow stripe wire. I hooked up the Violet/white stripe to the 2nd starter wire which is Blk/white stripe that I was using as the main starter wire before. The Pink Viper wire I put that to the Blk/red stripe. Orange Viper wire I put that to the thin white wire from the ignition harness so the AC will work when the remote start is activated. All the fused power I hooked up to one constant power wire. Had to up the cranking time to about 1sec on the viper to get it to start all the time. No starter over run but it's warm right now. I'll try it in the morning and see if it works.

Years of owning turbo cars forced me to leave it in neutral. I'm still going to mess with it more to see where the neutral safety switch is and wire that up.
