Hey guys, im new to the forums and i was looking for someone who is either selling, or can offer me a solid price range for an s14. im in highschool and im looking for an s14 to be my first car. my plans for it are to lower it, get some camber, and possilbly bag it, as well as an rb25det swap (also a full completion price range would be nice too. please and thanks) and of course body and paint. so as i said, im looking for some prices on how much an s14 could cost me just to buy it, not including all the mods/upgrades etc.
P.S. a quick list of parts would be nice for the engine swap
Thanks a bunch :x:

Research craigslist bro. Look up swaps on the for sale section, look up the parts you want. Add it all up and voila! Take in consideration if your paying someone for the labor or tools you may need prior to removing any bolt. If not, it will just be another unfinished s14 project. Speaking of experience here. These cars are fucken money pits. Don't let pictures or videos on YouTube fool you. All these guys have had years and a shit ton of money put in their cars. Good look with the hunt.

ok guys so ive been researching the best engine for a street drift car, and i came upon a forum site where people were saying that rb20det are stronger and last much longer than rb25/26det. so in turn with the info from there, i was wondering what you guys say to that. i also found an rb20det and the tranny for it on JDMEngineCorp for $1400 (JDM Engine Corp Engine Details - JDM RB20DET Turbo Nissan Skyline / Silvia / 240SX Engine Swap (http://www.jdmenginescorp.com/engine_details/nissan_jdm-rb20det-turbo-nissan-skyline---silvia---240sx-engine-swap)) and $700 (http://www.jdmenginescorp.com/transmissions_details/nissan_nissan-skyline-r32-jdm-rb20det-rb20-det-5spd-rwd-trans-manual-transmission-used) both used ofc. so there is about $2300 for just the big stuff, now i also saw that i need to change oil pumps, cams, belts etc. so its just really a matter of which one would be cheaper in the long run regarding rebuilds and such... so rb20det build for a street drifter? good/bad idea. thanks =)

hahaha, money pit is an understatement. I'm pretty sure I've already surpass my $10,000 mark on my S13, and it's still a stock KA24DE.
Yeah, in this day of age, just stay stock until you make more than $60,000 a year and live on your own.

RB20DET are a waste of time, same horsepower as an SR20DET with about 180lbs more weight.
Every turbo Japanese engine is unreliable if you dont take care of it, and modify it "properly".
Also just get an s13 manual with a ka24de put coil-overs, adjustable arms, and a lock diff.
You will learn a lot from an underpowered car.
