I am currently doing one myself.. and No. u dont need to cut anything off leave the support were it is..

What u need are: hood(with seals), fenders, upper retainer, 97-98 stays for retainer, head lights, turnsignal lights, corner lights, new foam part of bumper its called energy absorber, and connectors for the low beams because u need to cut the old connector off because it does not fit.... and ur all set.. lol

oh and a front bumper... its too easy lool :eek2:

also remove your front bumper befor u remove the fenders ok... ok!!!

The radiator support isnt required... but if you have any slight damage to it I would change it. Another reason to use the Kouki radiator support is because you wont be able to change a headlight bulb without removing the entire headlight.

*oh and i have a brand new Kouki radiator support if you need one.

what is the upper retainer?
the reason people ask this question so much is because everyone is using different names to decribe the parts. Without consulting my FSM, i dont know the difference between "radiator support", "bumper support", "upper retainer", "h/l brackets" etc etc...

the upper retainer bracket is the piece that bolts on top of the bumper beam it's a little piece I think it cost around $50.00.
