my car ran out of gas and blew the 10A fuel pump fuse. which came first? i dunno.

the question is, i heard from someone that walbros require a 15A fuse instead of 10, is it true? or is my fuelpump's way of saying goodbye?

(this morning it took 5 times cranking to start it up, hadn't happen before, but like i said , the tank was fairly empty.)

There are 2 main types of Walbro 255lph pump.

The 'regular' Walbro 255, which uses more amperage and requires a 15A (IIRC) fuse

The Walbro 255HP (PN GSS431) which is made to run on the factory 10A circuit.

BTW when you empty your tank completely, it's best to turn the key on & off a few times before trying to crank... This kicks the fuel pump on & gives time to build some pressure.

hmm the previous owner had installed the walbro so i don't know which type it is... i'll see if it blows the 10A again, i'll see what i'll do. thanks!
