idk ive never heard of reusing a headgasket. although im sure some people have done it with success.

some head gaskets are most definitely 'one time use' only and/or 'no retorque.'
those usually have an imprint of the words 'no retorque' or similar. i would try to find "cosworth's website" and see if they mention no retorquing or not.

Just to be safe, who don't you just buy a new headgasket? If you're going to go through the trouble of working on a motor like this, why take the risk of having to do it all over again because you tried to cut a corner?

Buy a new one and not have to worry about having to redo all that work and buy another one anyways if it fails. I know some people say cosworths are reusable but that one looks like it has had sandpaper taken to it.

Yeah, just buy a new one and be done with it, not worth the time and effort in the long run to have it not work.

P.s. I have a brand new OEM one on the cheap!
