Find the RB series replacement parts thread on nico, the info you seek is in there. I have used it before. I would post the number but it was a long time ago, its in that thread somewhere after all the stuff about subi starters working. Or you could just order one off raw brokerage for 150 if all else fails and you can't locate one.

I looked up 1970 Datsun 240z and the starter looks like the rb26 one
Tomorrow I will go to my local autozone and buy one and try it if it works I will post it to help anyone in the future
Still if anyone has any advice please help

waking this one up from the dead.. i called Napa they dont have this item any longer.. although it shows on their website when you call to order no warehouse has it or MFR.. and no cross reference part # as its obsolete.. anyone know another part # that works for RB26 starter?

take it to a local rebuilder.. or take apart another starter and replace the contacts, 90% of the time its just the contacts that go bad.

Tks for the info, I did some digging and my rb25 starter oem part # 23300-20p05 is direct cross reference to 23300-aa300
I found last unit on eBay so let's see if it actually bolts up tomorrow.
