That's because people don't do much more than drag race in this damn state. There's autocrosses and such, but usually everything is geared more toward drag around here... I live right down the street from an 1/8 mile strip and Steeles lives a hair down the road from me. We often pack up and run to the strip at rockingham and road trip in the other direction is surely not beneath us, we will have to get together some time...

I can make a trip to Rockingham sometime, we have a 1/4 mile strip here, Coastal Plains Raceway. They just had the Pro-Mods and Funny Cars runnin 1/8 mile last night. There is a "Bling Bling/2Fast2Furious" race set up for later this summer. Should be Gay, but I'll enter the burnout contest for the hell of it.
