You would not be the first person to have been so absolutely wrongly influenced to buy a car based upon that shit. I know someone who actually went out and bought a 86 Carolla before he could drive a 5-speed efficiently. He then realized that the car was underpowered, unreliable, had been ill maintained and unfortunately he tried to stick with it. "Phillip, what do I have to do to make this car like the '86', what kinda suspension stuff should I get, what about the engine blahblahblah..." He would later realize that all the shit he would have wanted to do to that piece of shit was expensive and thank god he sold the bish...
... To an EQUALLY starstruck kid with more mommy/daddy money than common sense for almost twice what my friend paid for it.

I dont really like the old corrola's so much..I'd rather have the similer year'd Celica's.
But I enjoy Initial D. I think it's cool that they show details on driving techniques and so on.

Yeah I agree on the techniques and details, its just something else to watch, I don't get too serious about it, but I think its cool. I think the Hachi is badass, but not a car I would ever be able to afford or maintain. I think its a hell of a lot better than Fast N the Furious.

Because the one he had was a piece of shit, the power steering was fucked, the car would cut off and not start back for 15-20 minutes at a time and everything necessary to fix and maintain that damn car was expensive simply because of availability.

dude ask anyone on club4ag... when you first get the car expect to spend a couple hundred each month replacing shit on the car. 'reliability mods'... after a year or two of doing this the car will start shaping up. yes it is reliabile but as the person above me mentioned its also 20 years old and most likely has over 200k miles on it. its infinitely more expensive to fix up then a 240sx or even an old rx7. definitely a labor of love and i respect people who can hack it together and make it work.
