sorry if this is the wrong section, but has anyone used one of the sr20det circuit sports over sized oil pans? It looks to be great quality and not a bad price at all. I'm considering ordering one but there are zero reviews or anything anywhere

Circuit Sports makes some pretty cool accessories... They are definitely a decent quality, more affordable line... I prefer them over Megan, Isis and the other 'off' brands. I've got various CS bits all over my car.

However, when it comes to lubrication, cooling, fueling etc... I would never use an off-brand product (besides overflow reservoir)- To include the oil pan. This is not meant to bash; and I have no experience with this oil pan- just something for you to consider. It very well could be all that and a bag of chips.

I don't disagree most of the time but the CS pan is a Tomei copy. Welded, not cast like most of the other off brands that copy the greddy oil pan. I got a PBM skid plate for a tiny bit more protection as well. I've had it on my car a year, it's a track car. Seems to be doing its job. With the oil cooler too, capacity is up there - 5 or 6 quarts IIRC.

I ended up ordering the pan, ill see how it is soon. and I'll most likely get a skidplate just to help a little. also putting in an s14 oil pick up so I think i'll be better off than stock, Ive got a redtop sr

I have this exact same setup. It rules.

i got the circuit sports pan when i did my sr swap due to it being crushed.

i love it minus the fact that its about an inch above the crossmember. id like it to be a little higher... but id assume thats how all aftermarket pans are. holds an extra quart.

Do you have the stock engine mounts in your car?

I've got my pan about a 1/4" above the subframe, just spaced the motor mounts up with some big washers.
